Oxdales Farm Holidays
Oxdales Farm is a quiet rural location at the southern end of the Peak District, in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales.
It's the ideal base for a walking or cycling holiday, within a few minutes' walk of access to the Tissington and High Peak Trails which together provide a traffic-free route to explore large parts of the Peak District. Dovedale, Beresford Dale and Biggin Dale are all within easy distance for seasoned walkers.
Nearby are the market towns of Ashbourne, Bakewell, Buxton and Wirksworth, as well as former county town Matlock and its adjacent tourist resort Matlock Bath. The lovely old villages of Hartington, Tissington, Parwich and Ilam are closer still. Stately Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are also in the vicinity, while thrill seekers are only a 20-minute drive from Alton Towers.
There's a good choice of pubs and eateries in the area. Rivendale Park Bar and Restaurant is just a short walk away. See links for details.
Mark and Pam Edge are your hosts at Oxdales Farm, situated in a sheltered and peaceful spot at the end of a private drive. We have a self catering holiday cottage which sleeps four and two B&B rooms in the farmhouse itself. The old farmyard affords ample parking space, while bicycles and motorcycles can be parked under cover.
